DESIGN OF GaAs E-PHEMT WIDEBAND LOW NOISE AMPLIFIER FOR WiMAX APPLICATION

This paper describes the design of wideband low noise amplifier for WiMAX application using enhancement technology. The main emphasis is on the two design topologies which are the negative feedback and balanced topology to enhance the performance over desired frequency and to achieve the design goal. The technical specification was deduced from the IEEE802.16 standard receiver sensitivity. The simulated result show the proposed LNA has a stable gain of more than 10dB, noise figure less than 2dB, S11 and S22 less than -10dB with current consumptions of 60mA from voltage supply at 5V.
