Abdullah Muhammed is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. He received his BSc degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1998, MSc degree from Universiti Malaya in 2004 and his PhD degree from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom in 2014. He is former Head of the Department of Communication Technology and Network. Prior to his academic career, he spent months in the IT industry where he involved in developing accounting software and was also responsible for assisting IT Manager in managing company’s network system.
He is a member of the Operational Research Society. As a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia he is a member of the Network, Parallel and Distributed Computing Research Group in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. His research interests include scheduling, grid/cloud computing, wireless network and operation research.
Abdullah is the principal investigator on 2 currently active research awards and is co-investigator on 2 other currently active awards. This includes an UK Newton-Ungku Omar award. He has published over 20 refereed papers in international journals and conferences, and 1 book chapter. He currently supervises 6 PhD (and 1 Master) students and has supervised 1 PhD (and 1 Master) students to completion.
Filzah Md Isa, DBA

Dr. Filzah Md Isa is currently an Associate Professor at Taylors University, Subang Jaya, Malaysia. She has more than 23 year of teaching experience in both public and private universities in Malaysia. Prior to, that she was a sales manager in several local and international business organizations. She obtained her BSc in Business Administration degree from University Southwestern Louisiana, USA (1987), followed by Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Northrop University, Los Angeles, USA (1989). She completed her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Universiti Sains Malaysia, in August 2007. Her areas of expertise are in the field of Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Management, both practically and theoretically.

Biography: Professor Sevia Mahdaliza Idrus is a member of Lightwave Communication Research Group, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UTM. She received her Bachelor in Electrical Engineering in 1998 and Master in Engineering Management in 1999, both from UTM. She obtained her PhD in 2004 from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom in optical communication engineering. She has served UTM since 1998 as an academic and administrative staff (i.e Deputy Director Innovation Commercialization Centre, Academic Manager of Graduate School UTM, Deputy Director of Photonics Technology Centre). Her main research interest is in the area of optical communication system and engineering management, and her research outputs have been translated into a number of publications and IPRs including five high-end reference books, over 200 refereed research papers, 5 patents granted, 34 patent filings and 36 UTM copyrights. To date, she has secured and been involved in 38 research and consultation projects, local and internationally with a total value of RM 10.2 million. Prof. Idrus is the founder and Director of iSmartUrus Sdn Bhd (1057063A), a UTM spin-off company that successfully commercialized her invention, a novel airtime based mobile micropayment solution and application-centric IoT based mobile enforcement device. She also the co-founder and Board of Directors of Zen Trillion Sdn Bhd (1139993-H) an ICT company providing smartcity solution and services. She is actively involved in a number industrial and international research collaboration projects, delivered keynote and invited speeches to many international conferences and seminars. She is Senior Member of IEEE and member of Editorial Board of few refereed international journals. She has been appointed as a Guest Professor at Osaka Prefecture University and Tokai University, Japan in 2011 and 2014, respectively.
Dr. Mohd Azli Salim
Dr. Mohd Azli Salim is currently senior lecturer of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. He is also the principal reseracher of the Advanced Materials Characterization Laboratory (AMCHAL), principal researcher from Green and Efficient Energy Technolgy (GReeT) and The Certified Practitioner TRIZ Level 3.
He was published over 70 journal papers indexed by various indexing including Thomson Reuters and Scopus. In addition, he also published over 80 international conference papers espicially in Malaysia, United Kingdom, China, Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia and many more. In 2017, he was delivered the keynote speech at Gunma University, Japan and the title of the presentation is “Recent Advances and Challenges on Rubber Materials as a New Anti-Vibration System due to Mathematical Approach”. He also published several book of chapters and academic module in Elsevier. His research interests include vibration control, materials characterization, numerical analysis, acoustic, finite element and modelling.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR DR ZAHRILADHA ZAKARIA
was born in Johor, Malaysia in 1975. He received the B. Eng. and M. Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1998 and 2004 respectively. He obtained his Doctorate from The University of Leeds in 2010 in the field of Microwave Engineering. From 1998 to 2002, he was with STMicroelectronics, based in Malaysia where he worked as Product Engineer. He is currently an Associate Professor and Coordinator of Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the Faculty of Electronic and Computer Engineering, University Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), where he teaches electronic system, communication principles, microwave engineering, advanced TCP/IP and signal processing. His research interests include variety of microwave devices development such as planar and non-planar microwave filters, amplifiers and antennas. He also investigates data communication and radiowave propagation in wireless communication systems. He has published more than 150 scientific papers in journals, proceedings and book-chapters. Together with his research team, he has secured more than 30 internal and external research grants with a total amount of approximately RM 2.5 million and holds 8 intellectual property rights. He has won several awards including gold medal during several research and innovation exhibitions at the national and international level, such as the UTeMEX 2012, 2013 & 2015, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE 2012-2014), ), International Invention & Innovation Exhibition (ITEX 2016), International Trade Fair Ideas Inventions New Products (iENA 2012) in Nuremberg, Germany, Seoul International Invention Fair (SiiF 2013, 2016) in Seoul, Korea. Dr. SITI SURIANI OTHMAN
Dr Siti Suriani Othman is senior lecturer in the Communication Programme, Faculty of Leadership and Management, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). She is also Visiting Professor (ranked assistant professor) at the School of Journalism and Communication, Xiamen University, China (2015), Visiting Scholar, Xiamen University Malaysia (2016) and Visiting Professor, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Aceh (2017).
She holds a doctorate in Journalism from Nottingham Trent University (2012), Master’s Degree (Communication) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia) (2005) and Bachelor’s Degree from Universiti Teknologi MARA (Journalism) (2001).
She also presents papers around the world including the UK, Greece, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Paris and virtual conferences in the US and Russia. To date, about 50 papers have been presented at various conferences. Her first single-authored book, Membongkar Rahsia Penulisan Berita Objektif: Pengenalan kepada Semantik Umum di Malaysia was published in 2006 with more upcoming publications soon. She has published popular writing since the age of 15 and was a columnist for Berita Harian in 2008-2009. To date, more than 170 feature stories have been published in local and national newspapers and magazines, including some writings in China and Taiwan.
Recently, she was awarded the Most Outstanding Young Lecturer (USIM) with several previous awards such as the Most Industrious Lecturer in Popular Writing by the Faculty of Leadership and Management, USIM, the Excellent Lecturer Award 2013 and 2014 (USIM) and Anugerah Pena USIM in 2016.
Dr. Ping Jack Soh
Ping Jack Soh, PhD, C.Eng, SMIEEE, MIET, was born in Sabah, Malaysia. He received the Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunication) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2002 and 2006, respectively, and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven, Belgium in 2013.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer and Communication Engineering (SCCE), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). From 2002 to 2004, he was a Test Engineer in Venture Corp., working on hardware and software test solutions for the manufacturing of All-in-One printers. In 2005, he joined Motorola Solutions Malaysia as an R&D Engineer. There, he worked on the characterization and testing of new two-way radios’ antennas and RF front-ends. From 2006, he joined SCCE-UniMAP as a Lecturer, and was also appointed as the Deputy Director of the Centre for Industrial Collaboration (CIC) between 2007 and 2009. He went on leave from UniMAP in 2009 to pursue his Ph.D and research attachment in KU Leuven, Belgium. He was first a Research Assistant (2009-2013), then a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2013-2014) and is currently an External Research Affiliate in the ESAT-TELEMIC Research Division. Within his Fellowship, he was also involved an industrial project with AGFA Healthcare, Mortsel, Belgium, which resulted in a filed European patent and a joint journal. He also holds a granted Malaysian patent and another two filed patents. Upon his return to UniMAP, he was then appointed as the Deputy Dean of the university’s Research Management and Innovation Center (RMIC) between 2014 and 2017. He has published about 75
Dr. Norfaridatul Akmaliah Othman
Marketing and management from Northwood University, Michigan, U.S.A. She received her MBA from Universiti Utara Malaysia and explored organizational performance of construction supply chain in implementing safety management systems among contractors in oil and gas industry for her PhD, awarded by Loughborough University, England. She has been assigned to teach a number of marketing subjects including principles of marketing, marketing management and supply chain management for Bachelor of High Technology Marketing and MBA students in UTeM. Her main research expertise is in the area of marketing, with specialisation in creating customer value through organisational value chain for competitive advantage. She has developed her interest in sustainable issues since her 9-months industrial attachment in Malaysian Industry Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) in 2014. During her attachment, she involved with the development of Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Malaysian Chapter by Jeffrey Sachs. Her current research interest is looking into improving organisational performance through the creation of sustainable value chain through information communication technology (ICT) utilization (e.g.: digital direct marketing) in various sectors including tourism, agriculture, petrochemical and real estate.
